Shibadong Village becomes China’s top ten rural tourism destination

Shibadong Village in Xiangxi Prefecture was approved as one of China’s top ten rural tourism destinations that are suitable for seasonal travel.

Shibadong Village is located in Shuanglong Town, Huayuan County. Shibadong Village used to be rarely known by the outside world due to its inconvenient transport. In November 3, 2013, targeted poverty alleviation was put forward here. Shibadong Village takes advantage of natural and cultural resources to develop Red, green and folk cultural tours, and explores a development path of cultural tourism empowering rural areas.

Tourists can visit the exhibition hall of Shibadong’s efforts in targeted poverty alleviation, targeted poverty alleviation square, the Miao embroidery industry base, listen to stories about poverty alleviation, and learn about poverty alleviation industries to experience the charm of poverty alleviation.
